Product Integration Engineering Manager K
The Boeing South Carolina Aft Body Fuselage Tool Engineering Manager position involves managing employees performing Tool Engineering activities associated with acquiring, commissioning, improving, modifying & maintaining tools/equipment for aircraft fuselage fabrication and assembly, in accordance with the Tooling Quality Management Documentation. This will require developing and executing project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures, setting operational goals and acquiring resources. Creates and maintains tooling life cycle metrics for Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Lean performance targets. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees. Works with Manufacturing Engineering, Liaison Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality, Facilities and Manufacturing supporting engineering changes, studies, planning & program directives, Accelerated Improvement Workshops (AIWs), emergent work, accident investigations and root cause analysis.
Responsibilities:
As the Aft Body Fuselage Tool Engineering Manager for factory equipment and contract tools, the following are required. Hiring and managing employees performing activities within multiple engineering and technical disciplines. Responsible for the equipment and tool procurement, installation, testing, configuration management, training, maintaining, repairing and continuous improvement as part of the life cycle management of the assets. Ensure processes and documents are developed and implemented in order to optimize utilization of the assets. Develop and execute integrated department plans, policies, procedures. Provides project management resources, principles, practices and technical expertise during the acquisition of equipment and tools from suppliers. Develops and maintains working together relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Leads, inspires and empowers employees to achieve common goals, team goals and individual goals. Establishes and/or implements policies, procedures and documents ensuring consistent execution of processes and regulatory requirements are adhered to.

The candidate must be knowledgeable in: Tool & Equipment products and services, strategic processes and tools/equipment requirements including Conceptual Design, System Design, Physical Design/Integration, Make/Buy, forecasting and managing material and capital budgets, Support Services, and Global Collaborative Environments. A BS degree or higher in a scientific/technical or engineering field is required. Ability to relocate permanently to Charleston, South Carolina is required.
