Product Review Engineer 3
This position is for the Flight Line Delivery Center as a Liaison Engineering for the 787 program in Charleston. The successful candidate will be familiar with Systems/Avionics and have at least 2-years of either Materials Review Board (MRB) or Post Production Product Review (PPPR), demonstrate an outstanding attitude, a dedication to flight safety, a passion for aerospace, emphasize teamwork, have outstanding interpersonal skills and willingness to work in a demanding, high visibility environment. Some primarily domestic travel will be required. Off shift support will be required. Applies broad knowledge of Boeing design and/or engineering principles. Assesses and resolves product/process issues through the product lifecycle. Leads research of technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer and designs interim and final engineering solutions. Leads others to analyze, conduct root cause analysis and develop dispositions for design non-conformances. Develops and implements product/process improvements. Uses innovative approaches and unique applications to address complex nonconforming conditions and to detect deviations. Analyzes reported problems for potential safety issues; recommends and manages complex resolution. Leads develop of interim and final solutions. Provides design phase subject matter expertise by supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participating in design reviews. Represents the engineering community in the build through post production environment. Ensures supplier and build partner compliance with Boeing standards. Develops customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment. Leads activities for on-site disabled product repair teams and accident investigation or support teams. Designs appropriate jacking and shoring schemes. Leads the design of flight squawks, electrical and avionics analysis, interim structural repairs and conducts static strength analysis. Develops and leads non-destructive test procedures, tools and standards. Ensures supplier and build partner compliance with Boeing standards. Develops and implements technical training curriculum for internal or external customers.

• Liaison Engineering Judgment

• Liaison Repair Methodology
Complete knowledge of liaison repair methodology including: repair processes, component repair concepts (e.g. structural, electrical/avionics, systems, weapons), procedures (e.g., inspection, disassembly, re-assembly, testing, manufacturing), warranty processes, and contractual agreements.
• Maintenance and Retrofit
Complete knowledge of repair, maintenance, and retrofit processes and practices (e.g., unplanned event system, technical orders, kitting, overhaul and depot support).

Typical Education/Experience
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Product Review Engineering positions require a minimum of a BS Degree in the following disciplines: MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, CIVIL, AEROSPACE/AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING. ABET accreditation is preferred. This position could support any shift. Materials Review Board (MRB) and/or Universal Product Review (UPR) preferred. This position is located at the flight-line delivery center in North Charleston, SC. All employees will be on the Boeing Charleston benefit structure.
