Job Description :

Do you have an aerospace background mixed with a little engineering, purchasing, expediting, planning, data management and influencing without authority?

Triumph Actuation Systems - CT is a supplier to the aerospace industry. We design, manufacture and repair highly complex components for both commercial and military markets. As a highly successful, profitable and growing company, we are positioned for continued success and are looking for an individual who is a little bit Program Manager and a little bit Master Scheduler to join our team in East Lyme, CT. This position absolutely requires a background in aerospace manufacturing.



Job Summary:
Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedule. Duties include reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules; conferring with suppliers, customers and multiple internal departments to determine progress of work and completion dates; and compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems.


Major Accountabilities:
1. Develops and executes program presentations for both internal and external customers.

2. Communicates with customers on schedule and other issues on an on-going basis.


3. Plan production commitments for specific programs using sales forecasts.


4. Provide documentation and information to account for delays, difficulties or changes impacting delivery schedules.

5. Negotiates, requisitions and maintains inventories of materials or supplies necessary to meet production demands. Ensures purchase order costs are reasonable and in line with program cost objectives.

6. Tracks activity and delivery commitments through shop and with sub-contractors as necessary to expedite flow of materials to meet production schedules. Communicates schedule requirements internally and with suppliers and customers.


7. Revises schedules when required due to changes, material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions.


8. Maintains files associated with assigned programs.

9. In conjunction with contracts, ensures any contract changes are properly executed.

10. Ensure purchase order costs are reasonable and in line with program cost objectives.


11. Review documents, such as production schedules and work orders to determine material requirements or material priorities.

12. Ensure all program related issues are properly communicated to the customer.

13. Minimize inventory input while maintaining on-time customer delivery.

14. Responsible to utilize Vantage ERP system for transactions and analysis.

15. Fosters positive relationships with internal and external customers.

Job Requirements :

Essential Functions and /or Physical Limitations: Regular attendance is considered an essential function of this position. Work requires the ability to work as part of a team and get along with others. Position requires walking, bending, reaching, seeing and lifting up to 20 lbs. Requires stress tolerance and the ability to actively listen, use logic and reasoning to identify solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Ability to understand written sentences in work documents and communicate information when speaking to others. The ability to listen and understand information and ideas presented orally. Position may travel between two plant locations periodically. Domestic and or international travel may be required.

Minimum Education Required:Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment, aerospace preferred. A Mechanical Engineering degree is highly desirable.

Minimum Years of Experience Required: Five years working in an aerospace manufacturing environment, working in a Purchasing/Planner/Scheduling and customer liaison capacity.
