Coordinates with project teams and business analysts to translate specifications into new or enhanced application solutions. Demonstrates knowledge of programming languages, basic systems analysis techniques, testing, debugging, documentation standards, file design, storage, and interfacing. Maintains peer relationships across IT areas (infrastructure, operations, etc) to support effective implementations. Essential Responsibilities * Defines detailed technical specifications for programs, projects, and releases required to satisfy business requirements.
* Tasks will include requirements gathering, specification document creation, UI, and database design, testing, user training, user documentation, and enhancement planning with the users.
* Provides assistance in solution planning, and estimating of programs and projects.
* Work directly with the user community and IT Team to help define system functionality to support key business requirements.
* Work closely with the IT Team and business functions to establish and improve department policies and procedures.
* Participates in change control process, following necessary regulatory and internal guidelines including process compliance and data controllership Qualifications/Requirements Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or Finance (or equivalent work experience) with 3+ year IT experience.
* Minimum 3 year experience developing software code in Visual Basic, C#, ASP, .NET; especially with C#
* Minimum 3 year experience creating software documentation, including requirements elicitation, use case design, functional specifications, test plans, and user documentation.
* At least 3 year experience using Microsoft SQL Server and Transact SQL to build queries, stored procedures, and create ad hoc reports.
* At least 3 year experience with Microsoft Office; specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
* Demonstrated DBA skills, especially with Microsoft SQL Server version 2000, 2005, 2008
* Experience with database monitoring and performance tuning techniques
