RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as analytical and programming resource on application development projects. Work with users to understand business needs and with team members in development of application specification. Serve as technical information resource on existing application. Work with users and assist in assessment of business needs and objectives. Define system design and programming requirements. Participate with project team members in developing the application specifications required to meet the needs defined by Supervising System Analyst or Business Analyst. Write source code for complex solutions required to meet the application specifications defined. Document all changes and all phases of testing performed, according to department and business standards. Assist user with questions, diagnose and resolve user application problems. Prepare and assist in user training as required by changes or enhancements to application. Assist subordinate project members. Serve as technical information resource on existing applications. Participate in system design walk-throughs with Team members, including Software Engineering Managers, Project Leaders. Utilize knowledge of programming language fundamentals. Assist in developing departmental standards for designing, programming, documenting and testing.
REQUIREMENTS: Position requires a Bachelor's degree or the foreign equiv in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or related, and 5 years of experience as an Software Engineer, Analyst, Programmer Developer or related. Position requires5 yrs exp. w/ Microsoft Technologies, 3 yrs exp. w/ web design using and C#, 3 yrs exp. writing stored procedures and SQL scripts using Oracle and Sql Server, 1 yr. exp. in object oriented design, 1 yr. exp. w/ HTML, Javascript, 1 yr. exp. w/ XML, XSL, and XSLT. Ability to understand and analyze business requirements, design, build, implement and maintain software components. Candidate must have experience with source control and soft design components.
