Responsibilities:
Our corporate office in East Dubuque, IL has an immediate opening for a Programmer-Analyst.
Responsibilities include:
*
Analyzing current and proposed departmental/branch user hardware and software systems; developing and maintaining complex systems for Crescent;
*
Analyzing and solving problems related to computer applications and systems for Crescent employees and customers; providing a wide range of in-depth technical assistance and guidance to users.
*
Writing application programs using COBOL for for mainframe execution; and
*
Coding, testing, and debugging new programs and existing programs.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a 2 or 4-year degree in Information Systems or related field and at least 5 years of experience in COBOL programming, including experience accessing hierarchal and relational database systems.
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills:
*
Experience with a Unisys Dorado mainframe (OS2200);
*
X12 EDI development, particularly 855 and 856 transaction sets;
*
Exceptional communication skills and problem solving skills.
