We currently have an exciting contract to hire opportunity for a Programmer in Flint, MI. The individual in this role will create, review, analyze and modify programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging, and documenting programs.
Responsibilities and prospects for professional growth for the Programmer:
Writes, reviews, and modifies code for software applications.
Runs appropriate tests to determine the accuracy of the program logic to produce desired results; debugs and revises code based on test results.
Uses knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within data and programming fields.
Education and Requirements for the Programmer:
BS is Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of five years experience in a programming environment.
Programming skills in languages and frameworks such as: .NET, JEE, C /C++, HTML, JAVA, ASP, and SQL Server required.
Proficient in Windows based operating systems and Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint in addition to the company s software programs.
Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the data and programming field and relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Ability and desire to leads projects and mentor junior team members.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Should be organized and able to prioritize and manage time effectively.
Possess excellent communication skills, a positive work attitude and willingness to learn and grow in the position.
Must be detail-oriented and be able to multi-task.
Be able to work well with various personalities and work as a team.
Should be independent and self-motivated able to work and accomplish goals with little to no supervision.
Ability to Sit for prolonged periods of time at a desk, walking, standing, bending, crouching, and capable of lifting up to 35 pounds.
High level mathematic competency as required by the essential
Fluency in English with outgoing personality that translates to phone skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Variable in a climate controlled office environment.
