SUMMARY Under moderate supervision, provides programming support for existing software enhancements. Support may be for customer or internal organizations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Develops programming code for existing software enhancements. * Devises block diagrams, logic procedures and prepares flowcharting. * Troubleshoots and debugs existing code. * Tests code and fixes to ensure quality. * Develops conversion and system implementation plans; implements newly created code and fixes into existing software. * Provides programming support for various interfaces. * Keeps customers informed of all enhancements, troubleshooting, and fixes. * Creates all programming documentation. * Completes project bids. Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Associate?s or Bachelor?s degree preferred. * RPG ILE, SQL, CLP, & iSeries operations required. * Minimum of 18 months to three years of experience in programming or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS * Banking or other financial experience preferred but not required. ASP.NET experience helpful, but not required. * Developing professional expertise. Works on non-complex to moderately complex projects. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices. * General knowledge of the financial industry. * Good communication and customer interaction skills. * Able to write software code; general knowledge of appropriate programming language(s). * Able to meet aggressive deadlines. * Working knowledge of applicable Change Management System.
WORKING CONDITIONS * Typical office setting with environmentally controlled conditions. * Able to work extended hours as business needs dictate. * Occasional overnight travel required. * Able to participate in on-call rotation to provide assistance to general support.
