Job Description: The primary objective of this position is to provide the first and second level of support for internal users of the Business Applications and other related custom applications. This would include but not limited to implementation of application functionality and resolution of user issues.
Qualifications/Job Responsibilities: POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Education/Experience:
. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required. . A minimum of 6+ years of Information Technology work experience required.
B. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
. Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, a pleasant personality and the ability to effectively communicate with business and IT team members. . Possess strong investigative and analytical skills to solve problems and perform necessary research to determine the root cause of an issue. . Experience in Production Support Environments an added plus . Experience with high levels of accountability; demonstrated initiative and innovation, and ability to manage competing priorities and varying workload yet still achieve results. . Technical and Functional knowledge of the following - o Oracle Applications (eBusiness Suite) - Experience and strong knowledge in HR, Self-service (iExpenses and iProcurement) and Financial(AP,AR,GL and FA) Modules. o Experience and knowledge of other Finance/OM related applications and tools is an added plus. o Extensive hands-on experience on Oracle 10g, SQL, PL/SQL, Web PL/SQL and Toad. o Experience and knowledge of Project Management Methodologies o Standard office software products
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABLITIES:
.As the users' first point of contact for Application Support group, provide prompt, professional and courteous assistance to application users. .Accept and resolve user-initiated application support requests. As part of a support team, resolve application support issues by providing a technical solution, or assigning responsibility to the appropriate team member for rapid resolution. .Assist with testing of new or enhanced application functionality; included but not limited to unit testing, regression testing of upgrades and patches; coordinate User Acceptance testing with internal users and business process owners in a various test instances prior to implementation. .Provide training to internal users on application functionality. .Perform and lead discussions on RCA for tickets on a regular basis to derive a long term solution for the problems. .Work with internal and external resources to escalate and resolve all Customer Requests .Ensure that best practices and company standards are followed in the system development lifecycle as dictated by company policy and Sarbanes-Oxley guidelines. .Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with management, team members, subject matter experts and end-users.
