CTG is looking for a Programmer/Developer for a Durham, NC client. This position is a 6 month assignment with the possibility of an extension based on performance and workflow. Project Objective:

The objective is that an interactive database and project process be created in order to allow Federal Registration Managers (FRMs) to input or identify components of dossiers as they become available. These components, when placed into the database (project plan) would be available for archiving and reference within the context of the submission.



This database would also serve to help FRMs to organize the requirements for the submission, and make the process of electronic dossier compilation and documentation more efficient, and timelier.

Skills and experience required:

Ideal Candidate Minimum Skill Set:

• Three years of experience with agrochemical, bioscience and/or pharmaceutical business community

• Seven years of experience in relational database design and software application development, including some or all of the items on the detailed list of skills below.

• Skills and experience with relational database design development, including data modeling, and development of .NET and SharePoint-based workflow-enabled information system solutions.

• Skills and experience with elicitation and documentation of software requirements; including use case development, software design; software testing; software change management; and software implementation support.

• Skills and experience with Windows SharePoint Services, Visual Studio 2008, SharePoint Designer 2007, or C#, .NET Framework v3.5, , Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, SQL, SharePoint web services, JavaScript, JQuery, Ajax, and Windows Workflow Foundation

• Skills and experience with automated handling of documents within a Microsoft Office SharePoint Services 2007 (MOSS 2007) environment.

• Experience with Planisware or other high level project management software preferred but not required.



Ability to develop software according to requirements and design documentation.

Three plus years of experience as a software development project team member.

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, science, engineering, or computer science, or management information systems and 5-7 years related work experience.





Duties:

Applicant must work on site at RTP, 2 T.W. Alexander Drive, in a self-directed manner with minimal direction and oversight.

The Software Developer / Analyst will serve under the direction of the project manager and will support a project team with the following types of activities.

Perform software requirements analysis and develop and document related use case, data models, software requirement specifications, and software design descriptions.

Design, develop, test, deploy and support SharePoint based, workflow-enabled information system solutions as well as .NET application solutions.

Design, develop, deploy, and support SharePoint and .NET solutions integrated with enterprise data sources such as Oracle / Planisware project management system.

Work with IT and business professionals to elicit requirements and evaluate options and recommend solutions to satisfy business requirements in a manner consistent with the organization’s IT architecture and strategy.
