Job Description:
This Programmer will be a C++/C# developer for a a mission-critical database application deployed on and PC-based Shipping systems.
The Programmer will participate in all aspects of client/server development to include analysis, design, coding, integration testing, product test support and maintenance activities.
Responsibilities to include:
Participate in the project planning process with team members to analyze requirements.
Assist in designs
Complete tasks assignments in code & test
Conduct unit tests, volume tests, systems tests and integration tests
Document program modules and testing activities/results
Report on application status
Indentify defects and provide fixes
Trace design to business and fuctional requirements
Monitor system statistics and reports
Provide 3rd level application supprt
Skills:
Java Programming - Intermediate
SQL Language - Beginner
XML - Beginner
C# .NET - Beginner
Linux Application Development - Beginner
C++ - Beginner
Education:
The desired Programmer will possess a four year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology related discipline or the equivalent in education and work experience. Years of experience = 1-2+ years.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science/related discipline and 1-4 years experience in systems anlysis and application program development, or an equivalent combination in education and experience
No relatives (excluding cousins) working with UPS or one of its subsidiary companies
U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer
1-2+ years programming experience with C++, C# .Net or Java
