Kount is the most advanced fraud-fighting technology available today. Developed with online and catalog merchant needs in mind, Kount helps companies win the war on fraud. Clients include retailers like Staples, Virgin Mobile, and The Childrens Place, as well as financial institutions like JP Morgan Chase. The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for designing and implementing new features and feature enhancements for the Kount suite using PHP, Java, Oracle and other tools in a Linux environment. You should have extensive e-commerce development experience covering a wide-range of concerns, and the ability to design and implement elegant code both individually and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities: Develop database-driven e-commerce websites in PHP5/Oracle on UNIX/Apache. Apply design, development and testing best practices to produce quality solutions. Maintain clear documentation of processes and communicate task progress. Mentor other members of the Development Team. Required Qualifications: Minimum of eight years professional software development experience preferably in web based environment. Expert knowledge of general Internet technologies including HTML, REST, HTTP, CSS, sessions etc. Expert in at least one modern structured programming language like PHP5, Java, Ruby, or Python. Including links to open source contributions, github or other portfolio resources during application process is strongly encouraged. Knowledge and experience in Apache, Linux, and UNIX tools/utilities (bash, cron). Experience with frameworks such as spring, django, rails, zend, cakephp. Knowledge in system design around scalability is highly desirable. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Experience with Agile development (Scrum) a plus. Excellent communication skills and desire to work in collaborative team environment. Background in credit card, financial services or Fraud a plus.
