The successful candidate will also possess the following: -A consistent, professional and pleasant demeanor and presentation. -Strong organizational and writing skills with attention to detail. -Strong work ethic and ability to work autonomously to build strong business relationships that expand VCM s presence and effectiveness in NY. -Clear speaking voice, and ability to maintain composure and patience when handling stressful situations with internal employees and/or viewers and guests. -Ability to determine what is newsworthy on the national and international stage. -Highly motivated, energetic, and quick thinking. -Strong interest in social media communities, and experience in managing multiple social media profiles across multiple platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Google+).
Most qualified candidates will have experience utilizing and administering third party social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Tweetdeck, and Spredfast. Experience accessing and/or managing Outlook Public Folders or other email focused CRM systems. Experience working with a service management tool such as Remedy. A strong understanding /troubleshooting skills around technology used on and CNN mobile applications.
Duties: Handle a variety of viewer management services to both support the main Atlanta office and to grow the presence of Viewer Communications Management in the New York office. Assist viewers in all areas of viewer services, including redirection of calls, evaluating story ideas, researching information requests and performing first level verification on news tips. Ensure all information received in NY is directed to appropriate areas in Atlanta, and documented in the permanent records. Function as liaison between ATL and NY offices for procurement of autographed anchor photos and auction items. Assist with management of show folders, SM pages and news tips folder. Produce and distribute editorial/statistical reports on assigned shows. Assist with managing feedback on CNN Facebook pages and Twitter accounts. Work as liaison with NY & ATL tech ops services via the VCM Tech Ops Manager.
