JOB DESCRIPTION: As a Project Manager, the role is to elicit, analyze, specify, validate and track the business needs of project stakeholders. This includes interviewing, gathering and compiling user requirements to convey to development teams throughout the software lifecycle. As a Project Manager, the role is to manage approved small to medium IT projects. This includes managing expectations, resolving issues and mitigating risks.
The Project Manager is expected to apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to support the development process and ensure that project deliverables are met according to specifications. This requires an understanding of the business objectives and deliverables, scheduling resources and costs, along with the detailed tasks associated with the entire project, from inception to project closure.
REQUIREMENTS: . Collaborate with business sponsors to define scope and vision for new IT solutions including application development / implementation and enhancements to existing applications. . Estimate and control effort to conduct facilitated work sessions . Work with business users to gather user requirements for new or upgraded software via workshops, questionnaires, use cases, scenarios, and other methods. . Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team. . As assigned, develop detailed project plans, coordinating with cross-organizational team members (technology, business, vendors, etc.) and facilitate team meetings/ . Assist business users in the coordination, development and performance of in-depth tests for User Acceptance Testing and other post-implementation support. . Track defects through testing phase, ensure timely fixes and manage release schedule. . Conduct regular status meetings with project teams to manage progress against the project plan and publish status reports for management, project sponsors and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are clearly understood; understand how to communicate difficult and sensitive information tactfully. . Review enhancement requests - working with business users and technical teams to fully analyze and identify any potential impacts based on requests
QUALIFICATIONS: . Bachelor's degree preferred with 4+years IT experience working as a Sr. Business Analyst with Project Management experience. . Experience eliciting business requirements and translating these requirements into functional requirements . Knowledge of SDLC . Well-versed in analyzing business processes, proposing and explaining multiple solution options, and negotiating a compromise where appropriate. . Experience managing some small to medium projects . Exercise independent judgment, effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure. . Excellent analytical and creative problem solving skills with keen attention to detail. . Focused and assertive with strong customer service orientation. . Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; Able to effectively lead discussions. . General knowledge of technology and technological interdependencies . Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment . Experience with MS Office Products including MS Project . Experience working in a Manufacturing environment preferred
