City / Ville Calgary Province Alberta [AB] Title / Titre Project Manager - Vendor Management Job ID ITR 5999 02/09 Position Overview / Vue d'ensemble du poste Our client has a 6 month contract for Project Manager who will work on multiple enhancement and replacement related projects with the Upstream Area. Requirements / Exigences . Experience and knowledge of IT solutions, packaged software implementation and software development (ideally for oil and gas companies) . 5+ years of Project Management experience . Solid experience with project charters, project plans, etc. . Strong project fiscal discipline and a proven track record of client project delivery . Formal training and/or designation related to Project Management . Some experience and understanding of upstream oil and gas applications . Vendor management experience as well as experience managing RFI/RFP processes . Some experience and understanding of oil and gas environment and regulatory disciplines would be a nice to have . Ability to effectively motivate, communicate, and leverage skills and competencies of individuals . Superior planning, organization and people management skills . Expert ability to identify issues and to make difficult decisions (escalating where required) . Expert communication skills . Negotiation and conflict management skills . Ability to adapt to many different situations . Ability to handle stress . Strong ability to develop strategic ongoing customer relationships (gain trust and respect) . Ability to effectively manage multiple interests and agendas (vendor, business, IT, etc.) . Strong facilitation skills
