Job Summary: Under Minimal supervision create and maintain test scripts and test plans. Perform testing during test execution phase and report defects when found. Provide status reporting when required.
Ensures that critical software is quality tested and meets all business requirements and is measured for the ability to pass all required test conditions with acceptable performance prior to being placed into production.
A TQA Analyst/Developer II executes regression and functional tests and records results and defects.
Analyze log files and query databases to validate the testing results.
Use and enforce the use of standard testing tool to maintain the consistency in testing methodologies and deliveries.
Provide clear and concise status reports on testing progress, defect and scripting metrics using a standard testing tool.
Analyze information system requirements, and prepare test plans, test cases, test scripts and other documentation by utilizing DISH Network specified tools and methodologies.
Map of test cases to system requirements.
Provide feedback to Manager, Program Manager and development team for resolution of problems discovered during the test process.
Good organizational skills, a strong desire for quality, and an attention to detail with an ability to take work direction and to communicate effectively.
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
