QA Analyst
A Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to ensure systems delivered meet specified quality standards. This particular position will be the expert on performance testing tools and processes for the IT department and will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering performance testing solutions. This includes the creation and validation of test plans and test cases for both new and existing applications. Specific experience in HP LoadRunner is required, as is a general background in software quality assurance methodologies, software testing best practices, and other testing tools.
Responsibilities· Design, write and execute performance test scripts
· Develop specific performance test strategies and plans for web applications, an enterprise service layer, and other applications
· Interpret performance test results and present recommended changes to development teams
· Drive the creation of a department-wide performance testing practice
· Investigate and resolve technical issues in the QA and production environments; communicate issues with various departments
· Facilitate the creation of and maintain an end-to-end, integrated test environment; includes configuring workstations and other testing equipment
· Gather and present testing status, including execution status and defect summary reports
· Define and continuously improve project level quality assurance policies, procedures, tasks and deliverables
· Serve as technical mentor to other IT and business associates that have responsibility for testing
· Investigate new innovative techniques and tools and recommend improvements to the performance management process and toolset
· Occasionally participate in other QA team tasks including manual testing and automated test creation when necessary
Requirements:
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in MIS/CIS, Computer Science, or related field (required)
· 5+ years experience in MIS/IT
· Experience with other HP testing tools including QTP or Quality Center a benefit
· Experience with testing methodologies and QA best practices
· Experience with the full IT development lifecycle
· Ability to facilitate communications between and among highly experienced business and IT associates
· Leadership skills including the ability to mentor and lead groups of testers
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills
· Detail oriented with excellent analytical skills
· Good interpersonal skills with a strong team orientation
· Ability to translate business needs into requirements
