Now Hiring:QA Analyst

Position Profile:

Anixter is seeking to add a QA Analyst to its corporate headquarters team inGlenview,IL. The QA Analyst is responsible for coordination of test teams, development and execution of test plans, and development and implementation of QA standards and processes for IT applications.

Key job responsibilities:

· Work with Project, Programming, and QA managers to define and review test plans
· Schedule required resources, coordinate testing efforts, and ensure timely completion of test plans
· Design test plans and cases to comprehensively and efficiently test conformance to business and technical specifications and IT standards
· Utilize QA management and testing tools(including automated testing tools) to set up and execute test cases
· Create and maintain test data and environment required for executing test plans and cases
· Document and communicate test results and metrics
· Track defect status, work with developers to reproduce and resolve defects, and execute re-tests and regression testing
· Develop and implement Quality assurance standards and processes
· Coach test teams and associates on QA processes and tools
· Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

· Bachelor's Degree, concentration in computer science or information systems or commensurate work experience
· 5+ years of IT Quality Assurance experience, including full system lifecycle(unit, integration, system, performance, regression testing)
· Expericence with Waterfall and Agile development methodologies
· Experience in IBM mainframe and web-based application environments(including WebSphere, J2SE, Jacada, Hats, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, CICS, Windows 2000, z/OS)
· Experience with QA management and automated testing tools(Mercury tools)
· Experience implementing IT system development and QA standards, procedures, and documentation requirements
· Excellent organizational and project management skills
· CSTE / CSQA certification or equivalent required - Keep skills current, learn new skills as appropriate
· Strong analytical and communications skills, ability to lead and work with teams, and ability to keep on schedule in fast-paced development environment
