QA Analyst
Details of Position: The QA Analyst is expected to take ownership of the quality of one or more applications while conducting QA development processes, developing test solutions, providing advanced expertise in testing across the QA organization, and leading the development, implementation and maintenance of new practices and testing standards. Specific activities include analyzing business requirements and design documents for completeness and testability; identifying and documenting a test strategy (i.e. test plans, scripts, environments, data setup, etc.); create estimates for system test preparation and execution; capturing test metrics; perform and coordinate system verification test activities utilizing Quality Center; capture and report on system defects; and summarize system test findings. It is desired that the analyst be able to recognize automation opportunities, design and build automation test plans; and develop automated test modules (i.e. QTP or other programming languages).
Management Skills: This position leads testing components of large to very complex projects, assigns tasks, provides direction to resources, and report progress to key stakeholders. This position will collaborate with the Lead QA to estimate project testing costs and resource needs. Will manage and implement internal projects that include the communication of plans, schedule, baselines, and metrics to stakeholders and the team; manages progress to plan and makes necessary adjustments; and employs management tools and technologies appropriately.
