QA Analyst / Tester (Mississauga, Ontario USA ) The QA Analyst/Tester will play a key role in assuring the quality of software products by conducting extensive testing during product release cycle and at all major project milestones. In addition will be responsible for the creation and provisioning of technical material for broad range of end-users. Perform integration, functionality, system, regression, load and acceptance testing using manual methods and testing tools. Verify project documentation, sufficiently detailed to support development of QA materials. Test planning and execution; bug tracking. Troubleshoot and resolve application quality defects and issues. Configure and update test environments for web applications. Research, develop, and write product documentation and support materials. Manage other QA resources. Required Skills: Testing Windows and web systems designed for the transportation industry. Excellent understanding of software QA principles, practices and processes. Exposure to and knowledge of software development concepts is considered a valuable asset. QA and testing for commercial software products. Proficient with oral and written English. Solid understanding/or experience of RDBMS (SQL), SDLC and ISP Internet standards and connectivity. Familiarity with various browsers and MS Office packages. Experience with web development, creating on-line help for web-based products, and with one or more of Test Automation Tools, QA tools and Bug Tracking Tools. Excellent analytical, trouble shooting and problem solving skills. Excellent attention to details. Self starter who takes initiative and drives hard for results on time. Desired Skills: Experience with QA management and database testing. Education: Post-secondary education in IT, Engineering and/or Business.
