QA TESTER Duties and Responsibilities: Develop test plans, test cases, test scenarios and test scripts to meet functional requirements for online video games. Execute tests for Internet applications and analyze the results. Testing online video games with the mindset of the customer/end user. Use commercial automated test tools and aid in the creation of custom automated test scripts. Document test results and communicate them to the team. Prioritize many tasks in an agile, fast paced environment. Actively participate in project planning and software development lifecycle meetings. Qualifications: 2 to 5 years of QA testing experience in a web-based environment. Experience in video game testing is beneficial. Post-secondary degree/diploma in computer science, software quality engineering or equivalent is an asset. Internet development experience in Flash, PHP and JAVA is a definite asset Knowledge of Automated and Manual Black-Box and White-Box testing. Experience in writing test documentation. Experience in executing tests and analyzing results. Expert knowledge and experience in tracking problems and defects. Basic understanding of databases (e.g. MySQL) and SQL is a definite asset.
