Our client, located in Pleasanton, CA, is in search for a Business Analyst for a contract ideal Business Analyst will be responsible for:1. Assist business partners in developing tactical and strategic product, services and/or programs to support the business goals by participating in strategic discussions and providing input as domain SMEs for their respective area of responsibility. 2. Continually look for opportunities to improve product, service and/or program business processes and propose solutions. 3. Provide input to project budgets by working with the Solutions Managers, Software Engineers, and Software Architects to identify high level solutions and impact assessments.4. Review, analyze and create detailed documentation that supports their customers, (i.e. business partners, developers, QA, and management). Artifacts include but not limited to workflow diagrams, Vision, business & supplemental requirements, glossary, use case model and cases, functional specifications, user acceptance test (UAT) plans, UAT test cases, user guides and training materials.5. Contribute to the development of Statements of Work for vendor by defining requirements that the vendor will deliver.6. Contribute to the development of the project schedule by providing Solutions Managers their work breakdown structure with estimated start/finish dates for their respective tasks.7. Review technical designs to ensure that they cover all requirements that have been defined for the project. Provide feedback to software engineers and architects.8. Review QA test cases to ensure that testing adequately covers all new and/or revised features.9. Collaborate with QA, software engineers, and business partners, to resolve defect issues.10. Plan, prepare, and lead User Acceptance Testing and resolve issues that are identified during UAT.11. Apply technical analysis and critical thinking to the identification of technical issues and bring them to resolution. 12. Actively participate and contribute as a supportive team member of the Solutions Delivery didate should have the following requirements: - 5+ years of Business Analysis experience including thorough experience developing functional/technical requirements and specs- eCommerce or Retail project experience- Experience with UAT Category: Quality Control & Assurance - General
