Working Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Key Requirements: Must be a current FBI employee Must be able to obtain a Top Secret-SCI clearance Major Duties: Incumbent of this position will serve as a technical expert in quality assurance (QA) and/or proficiency of testing of laboratory personnel for the unit assigned. Plans and develops QA program segments within the unit. Performs complex assignments relating to training, audit and consultative activities for evaluation of quality control and proficiency testing systems. Writes reports on the progress of Laboratory QA and proficiency testing. Assist in the review and interpretation of existing and new federal and state regulations. Qualifications: All applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience (SE) equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS 12). Specialized Experience: Experience planning and developing Quality Assurance (QA) appraisal activities to ensure conformance or non-conformance with directives/policies, writing QA project plans/reports, experience with QA practices/methodologies/ standards and with a Change Management ergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study-quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles. The work is normally done in an office, but laboratory inspections expose employees to various hazards including chemicals, fumes, potentially infections materials, and materials of unknown hazard or risk submitted to the Laboratory Division as evidence. Personal protective equipment such as respirators, gloves, laboratory coats, and goggles may used during onsite inspections. Work is primarily sedentary, however it occasionally requires walking, standing or carrying light items.
