Currently we are recruiting for two (2) individuals to join our team in the role of Quality Assurance Tester on a contract basis at our 3M Ottawa location. The contract length is six (6) months. As part of the software QA team, you will be responsible for integrating automated testing into the current manual testing. Responsibilities include: · Designs, develops and executes regression test suites · Designs, develops and executes functional and performance automation tests. · Develops product test plans, test reports, and other test documentation as required · Analyzes field issues and performs root cause analysis to improve coverage of existing test suites and to improve effectiveness of existing processes · Creates test reports and metrics for internal management and external assessor reviews Requirements · Experience designing and executing requirements-driven, functional test cases and test suites · Ability to identify software risks and develop tests to mitigate them · Operating System experience: windows 95/98 and Windows NT 4.0 preferred and Windows 2000 Qualifications: · Post Secondary Degree in relevant field · Minimum 3 years software testing experience · Experience designing and executing requirements-driven, functional test cases using automated test tools · Experience testing web applications · Experience in test automation is an asset. Skills: · Keen quantitative and analytical skills · Attention to detail · Self-planner, and reporting · Strong English written and verbal communication skills · Applicant must be well organized, self-motivated and self-directed · Ability to work in team environment As this is a contract position, the incumbent will not be eligible for 3M Canada employee benefits.
