Quality Control / Test Lead Technician This position is:Contract Salary:Commensurate with Experience Position Location:Houston, TX
Coordinate and schedule the work of the technicians. Test and inspect complex equipment. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Inspect and test AC and DC drive line-ups and control houses Report defects and track proper repairs Troubleshoot errors to the root cause Interface directly with design and production personnel as needed Maintain the facility with regards to test equipment Complete daily work assignments according to instructions from the lead Understand and follow ethical, safety, and work practices guidelines Inform appropriate personnel of needed parts or work with sufficient lead time to allow success Assist Test Supervisor in scheduling and training of department employees Provide feedback to Test Supervisor and Quality Manager on performance and training needs of technicians Assist in maintaining smooth work flow Suggest changes to increase productivity Help maintain a safe work environment Maintain accurate technical records Exercise safe work practices Maintain an orderly work area
Education: Associates Degree in electronics, military training or equivalent Experience: Minimum 5 years? electrical testing experience or 4 years? military electrical/electronics training/experience Some supervisor experience and or training preferred Travel Requirements:Occasional travel (10%) PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Physical Requirements:Computer use, lifting, climbing, standing, equipment and/or motor vehicle use
