The Color Conversion Competence Center (CCCC) in Maarheeze is the Philips Lighting development center for LED phosphors. It consists of teams that develop and industrialize new LED phosphor materials, as well as teams that specialize in the application of these materials in color conversion components for use on the LED (Lumiramic), as well as on system level (Remote Phosphor). Its Approximately 30 engineers and connected external resources span the required competences to serve our internal Philips customers (LED Retrofit and Moducles, Lumileds, Professional Luminaires, Consumer Luminairs) around the globe, through open innovation in which we participate in value creation chains with Philips Research and other Philips competence centers, as well as with external parties and even competitors.
The CCCC is dedicated to make LED Phosphors a control point in the rapidly growing market of Digital Lighting, in any way we can. During 2010, a Tiger Team is installed to boost Lumiramic product development and manufacturing to the level required for wide scale adoption in key LED types by Lumileds Lighting. In the Tiger team, product development, manufacturing excellence, volume ramping, cost breakthrough and trasnferral of back-end manufacturing are adressed simultaneously, providing a huge challege for which a strong world wide team is being set up.
Your Responsibilities:
* Prepares the overall Quality plan, and implements the projects quality assurance activities to ensure that the correct quality practices and procedures are implemented from the outset.
* Ensures that the correct development processes and procedures are followed.
* Provides ongoing advice and monitoring, including the definition of phases, deliverables, verification, and validation
* Participates in the preparation and review of project plans, standards and procedures.
* Verifies the project plans against the quality system.
* Provides feedback about best practices, and major deviations.
* Measures product and process attributes in the projects.
* Organizes the project, and arranges the management activities in terms of quality, timing, costs, information, and organization.
* Conducts supplier audits.
* Tracks non compliances, and monitors and assists in the resolution of problems.
Your Profile: Competences:
* BSc, leadership skills, teambuilding, language skills English/Dutch/German
Experience:
* proven track record in setting up quality systems.
* 10+ years in industrial environment.
* Preference mechanical or chemical engineering background.
* Familiar with local requirements, both people and industrial, safety etc.
Skills needed:
* Knowledge of project management methods and techniques.
* Must be familiar with disciplines needed to develop cooperation among team members.
* Specific knowledge of Ceramics, and their application in the lighting industry is desirable.
* Review and auditing techniques.
* Risk analysis and interpretation.
Personality Characteristics:
* Must be focused on goals and results oriented.
* Must be quality conscious, and research driven.
* Must have strong communication skills , both orally and in writing.
