We have an immediate opening for a Quality Technician in Calgary, Alberta. Key Responsibilities: · Responsible for Inspecting, auditing and reporting on materials, processes and products. · Uses measuring instruments and techniques to ensure conformance with engineering drawings, specifications and established quality standards. · Special focus on our new and historical troublesome incoming materials to ensure that those materials are inspected and approved before they are released for use in Honeywell Products. · Inspect incoming parts according to established plan, test methods and standard specifications. · Document test results, and retain samples and required documentation. · Generate reports from the collected inspection data as required by various internal and external customers. · Initiate corrective action requests using eCATS and SAP Quality Notifications, assist in investigation of any non-conformances, and coordinate follow ups on identified corrective actions. · Work with Quality Engineers, Commodity Managers and Suppliers to resolve any supplier quality issues. · Assist Development, Process Engineering, and Suppliers with establishment and evaluation of inspection methods, equipment and processes/procedures as required. · Assist Quality Engineers and Sourcing in evaluation of new and existing supplier and parts. · Assist in other QA/QC activities as required.
Basic Qualifications: · Technical Diploma or applicable work experience in a Quality Control/Assurance role. · Minimum one year of experience in a quality control/assurance role.
Additional Qualifications: · Knowledge of gas detection products and Plastic manufacturing standards preferred but not essential. · Able to read and interpret technical data including circuit diagrams, drawings and schematics. · Experience in an electro-mechanical production environment. · Strong communication skills both written and verbal. · Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. · Knowledge of SAP and Visio would be an asset. · Experience in ISO certified manufacturing work environment. · Effective team player with the ability to work independently, well organized and can set priorities to meet deadlines. · Keen eye for detail and the ability to deal with people.
