Per Hour Position Summary: Assemble, charge, perform tests, diagnose, trouble shoot and repair a wide variety of refrigeration systems (single stage, cascade, multiple stage), utilizing blueprints, schematics, piping diagrams, technical manuals and other specifications. Fabricates and assembles components of refrigeration systems (cascade and multiple stage refrigeration systems) for environmental test equipment according to blueprints or schematic drawings. Knowledge of refrigeration systems, using handtools, power tools and brazing equipment Tests, diagnose and repair defective refrigeration system at all levels of assembly. Requirements - Technical education in Refrigeration Technology Trade School / certificate program, typical experience 3-5 years of related experience. Under regular supervision incumbent must have sound knowledge of refrigeration principles, basis electrical theory, charging and evacuation techniques, brazing techniques, mechanical and assembly processes. Proficient in the understanding of mechanical assembly, leak testing and test equipment. Proficient in the use of schematics, blueprints and piping diagrams. Work meets acceptable levels of quality. Possesses 608 certification in refrigeration recovery. Must possesses 608 certification in refrigeration recovery and a MA refrigeration license.
