Regional Online Store Manager - Microsoft Store (Americas)
Microsoft Store is fast becoming one of the largest re-sellers of Microsoft products on a worldwide basis in its growing role as Microsoft’s direct-to-customer online sales channel. The direct channel is poised for significant growth in FY12 through an organic increase in sales and through online store expansion.
To fuel the continued growth, we are expanding our international team to drive greater focus and expertise on digital marketing and site operations across more than twenty countries where Microsoft Store online operates today.
What you will impact:
Your role, as the Regional Store Manager is to develop, deliver and execute the operations, marketing, and sales strategies that drive online sales of Microsoft and third party products. You will also be responsible for managing subsidiary based International Site Managers who are tasked to drive local operations and execution in market. Success in this role will be illustrated by revenue growth resulting from effective management of local market activities through the ISMs and close partnership with local and regional BG and subsidiary management teams.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver Sales Growth through Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Regional accountability for local merchandising, content and marketing across a network for Microsoft Store sites in region
- Develop, publish and activate in-region marketing plans to drive budget attainment and revenue growth
- Ensure Microsoft Store alignment and inclusion in channel and audience marketing programs within region
Lead Local Microsoft Store Operations Through a Team of International Site Managers
- Lead a team of International Site Managers (ISMs) to drive site operations and local marketing execution
- Manage site performance and sales reporting through the ISM field
- Compile and publish local market feedback from each market
- Coordinate people management with local ISM hosting managers in M&O
Drive Strategy, Planning and Execution for Site Operations Across Region
- Develop deep business and customer insights based on triangulation of data across our sales and marketing touch-points, Web reporting data and end-customer research
- Communicate insights to key stakeholders, including demand gen team, merchandising team, physical store team
- Develop test and learn proposals and calendar to drive purchase conversion improvements
- Create feedback loop with Microsoft Store corporate team to surface asks and recommendations with product management, production and category management team
Strengthen Subsidiary Partnership with Local Stakeholders and Management
- Drive ISM engagement and partnership with local BG, channel and audience marketing teams through a clear rhythm of the business plan
- Foster direct connections with subsidiary leadership teams (e.g. CCG Lead)
- Represent the online store in local and regional business management meetings
- Collect and publish feedback and requests from subsidiary stakeholders to Microsoft Store corporate team
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program
At least 7-10 years of work experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in software, digital & e-commerce marketing
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES
As the Microsoft Store leader in region, you will be measured by your ability to drive revenue performance & growth, manage a highly effective team and facilitate local connections with key stakeholders.
A deep understanding of digital & ecommerce marketing, both current and emerging, with the ability to translate marketing needs into program execution at a local level
Demonstrated ability to drive locally project plans and marketing execution across distinct markets
Expert capability to manage a distributed team of internal vendors
An ability to manage relationships with subsidiary peers to leverage campaign activities as appropriate from other subs, as well as drive global integration and adoption of marketing guidance
Excellent communication skills tailored for audience and context
