Regulatory & Compliance Specialist
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Law
• Minimum 4 years work experience in regulatory, legal, environmental, real estate (Site Acquisition) or project management disciplines as it relates to wireless tower/equipment build out, required.
• Knowledge and experience with FAA/FCC rules and general Regulatory policy & procedures
• Must have excellent negotiation skills, interpersonal skills, oral/written communications skills, and organizational skills.
• Must have demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, analyze and solve problems.
• Must have demonstrated ability to take initiative and manage multiple competing priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.
• Must have an understand of wireless communications' engineering concepts and technologies
• Proven leadership and project management abilities
• Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Access, Excel and Word required. Experience with MS PowerPoint and MS Project also desirable.
• Real estate agent or broker's license desirable.
• Legal, Paralegal and/or Notary certification also desirable.
__________________________________________________________________________This position is a highly visible Regulatory Team Lead/Specialist position that will report to the West & Midwest Implementation Manager, be responsible for planning Regulatory projects based on Regional deployment needs while assuring that VZW remains compliant with responsibilities and legal obligations, as a Federal Communications Commission licensee.
The position requires an individual contributor with a strong analytical and technical aptitude coupled with excellent organizational skills who is capable of functioning in a lead/specialist capacity. Training others will be required as well as interfacing with regional managers.
- Regulatory Lead will work cross functionally with multiple internal groups and regional network groups. This position will be responsible for providing technical leadership and training with regard to Regulatory LTE, PCS, Cellular, CDMA and structure compliance during planning, staging, deployment, and continued maintenance in order to fulfill complex business requirements as a FAA/FCC licensee.
- Regulatory Lead will assist upper management in planning, designing, staging, testing, integration and training of new tools (NWF, VZReg, Oracle/Apex Implementation DB) and Regulatory Policy & Procedures. Demonstrate the ability to apply the knowledge gained through formal and informal training to provide business decisions that improve the performance or operability of the tools as well as VZW Regulatory direction with regard to the departmental compliance needs.
- Regulatory Lead will be a SPOC to provide direct oversight on Regional project resolutions with the Regulatory MTS-E SPOC's and provide the point of escalation and support to Regulatory and Regional teams.
