Position Description:
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Minimum of six (6) years of 'hands on' work experience in support of communications electronic systems or equipment that may involve training and assisting lower level technicians. Must have the technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems, understand the interrelationships of circuits, and be able to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications systems or equipment. Experience in addition of vehicle modifications and wiring, with less general specialized experience.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in maintenance / troubleshooting of Ground and Vehicle-based Radio Systems (VHF, HF, UHF, SINCGARS, PRC-119, etc.) and equipment as specified in the Contract Statement of Work (PRM-34, GRM-122, spectrum analyzer, etc.).
Experience Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Associate's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology; OR Completion of formal resident trade school or apprentice program in electronics; OR Completion of at least three (3) U.S. Military schools in electronic communications equipment or systems, Grade E-7 or equivalent.
Experience: 6 years
