Overview:
NetStar-1 is seeking to hire a Release Support Analyst in support of a huge transformation initiative with a Federal Government client. The incumbent will be responsible for a wide variety of analysis and support functions to support major system releases and its corresponding release management & deployment support functions.
Interact with solution architects, federal clients and various stakeholders to manage the system release expectations.
Coordinate and Communicate effectively on the release testing and deployment planning and support activities.

Document the release lifecycle processes, policies and support activities.


Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include developing, reviewing, recommending and disseminating revisions to Release management practices, policies and procedures in a Federal environment. Candidate must be well versed in Structured Software Release policies and processes with extensive experience coordinating across multiple teams and organizational components. Candidate will be responsible for detailed coordination and successful deployment of major software releases for web-based and distributed systems. Candidate identifies release issues, records them, and works to get them resolved prior to deployment so that deployment is successful. Candidate is knowledgeable about software development methodology and processes and able to articulate status and issues to stakeholders in both formal reviews and in one on one conversations. Candidate understands and is conversant in software terminology, including software distribution methods and technologies. Develop and maintain the Release Management plan. Establish and maintain a standard process for releasing major changes to the field and in communicating upcoming releases. Candidate must be willing to perform tasks at all levels of coordination and planning. Should be able to establish sound working relationships with multiple project managers and system owners. Develop documentation project plans and timelines. Design, research, write and edit a range of documents, including user guides and manuals, technicals specifications, training materials, user policies, and proposals, for both print and online media. Liaise with department heads and end users to define and identify business procedures and establish documentation needs for hardware and software. Collaborate with systems and development staff to collect and interpret technical information.


Qualifications:
Skills and Knowledge: Shall clearly possess the following knowledge and skills: 1. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with senior personnel. 2. Ability to conduct detailed research and analysis of technical and cost data. 3. Ability to follow Federal Systems Engineering Life Cycle methodologies.

Bachelors degree with a minimum of 5 years mixed experience technology oriented systems analysis, technical writing, project management, or release management. 8 years experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Must have solid experience with standard systems development methodologies and system development life cycles. Familiarity with Information Technology Information Library (ITIL) structures and excellent analytical skills communication skills.

Position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
