Restaurant Systems Manager
Growing fast casual restaurant chain seeks a Restaurant Systems Manager. This role will be responsible for the implementation, management and ongoing maintenance of critical business-line applications hosted within the restaurants including the POS and BackOffice systems. Successful candidate will manage vendor relationships including Help Desk and Field Service, holding them accountable to deliver as defined in the service level agreement. This role will direct the programming, testing and deployment of all system configuration changes required to support alterations such as new menu items, price increases, and supply chain variations. This role will also lead the adoption of new technologies, and coordinate the installation of all systems for new corporate and franchise restaurants, working with Operations to ensure IT systems meet their needs as well as support the Training department’s development of educational tools. The Restaurant Systems Manager will supervise a small technical team. This role is based in Dallas, TX. Travel of approximately 20%.
Requirements: Successful candidate must have a strong IT background supporting at least 100 plus locations in the restaurant industry. Direct experience with XPIENT IRIS, EDM and SQL Server 2005 with ability to write/debug queries is essential. Extensive knowledge of VBScript, Windows XP, TCP/IP networking and general PC hardware is required. Experience supporting Java applications and Apache web server is also helpful. Organization is looking for a highly proactive person with a strong observation level, analytical thinking and the capability to clearly define problems and identify solutions. The individual selected for this role must have excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and management skills; and the ability to effectively build strong relationships. Due to operational support requirements, successful candidate must be flexible with their work schedule. Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred, or four plus years related experience.
