Job Description: Candidate must have a demonstrated track record of successful revenue growth via identification, capture planning, proposal development, and subsequent contract award with Federal Government Agencies.

To successfully prosecute opportunities in the federal market space, a working knowledge of the FAR and pertinent regulations regarding federal IT procurement is essential. Highly desirable if candidate can speak to their previous experience with applicable clauses of the FAR.

In addition, candidate must have working knowledge of government product certification processes (ex. FIPS, JTIC) to ensure bids are bid with compliant technology.

Individual must have referencable relationships within the federal reseller channel and/or system integrator Business Development community.

Candidate should have at least 15+ years experience in the Federal IT market that includes a combination of direct government service, business development, program or contract management, technical services, marketing, or direct sales to government customers within civilian agencies, specifically with a majority of these years in information technology and preferably in communications and networking, data center or application sofwtare.

Must have demonstrated experience in developing and successfully executing acquisition strategies for large contracts (greater than $20M in Cisco content is typical target.

Candidate will provide weekly reporting and quarterly briefings on their progress to Federal Sales senior staff. Strong verbal and written skills required as this position entails significant public speaking as well as preparation of value propositions, statements of work, and executive communications. Candidate will prepare teaming agreements and pricing letters for review by respective legal and financial staffs.

Must have demonstrated experience in developing and successfully executing acquisition strategies for large contracts greater than $20M.

Candidate will be responsible for developing and managing an opportunity pipeline that has between 8-12 programs per fiscal year per guidance from Director of Federal Business Development.

Candidate will lead a matrixed team that includes Sales, Services, Product Business Unit, Contracts, Legal, Finance, Marketing, and Channels for each program bid being developed. In addition, individual will make use of and is responsible for Federal Strategic Programs Opportunity Matrix to manage oversight of each bid.
