SAP ABAP Developer
SAP ABAP Developer/Analyst Specific Duties:
Collaborate with analysts, programmers, and designers in conceptualizing and development of new software programs and applications.
Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and internal/external customers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems.
Develop structured programs using the appropriate computer language. Adhere to client's Information Systems Department's standards, including clear and accurate internal program documentation. The programs should be easy to maintain and highly accurate. Programming techniques made available by the architecture of the current hardware and computer language should be understood and used in programming assignments. The design should incorporate techniques to improve performance without compromising maintainability or future enhancements.
Enhance existing programs/systems to correct errors or provide new functions.
Write advanced procedures and programs in the appropriate computer language.
Design and specify test procedures including unit, system, and integration testing. Design system/program test data, debug programs using appropriate system tools and ensure system/program results are accurate and meet system/program specifications.
Assist in development of junior level Information Systems staff members. Assistance should include critiquing program design and code, as well as providing direction and specifications.
Requirements and Qualifications:
College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information sciences, or a related field and/or 4 years equivalent work experience.
A minimum 8 years experience in designing and coding programs using the ABAP language; must pass a technical interview.
A minimum of 8 years experience using SAP Netweaver ABAP technologies including ABAP Workbench, ABAP Objects, the ABAP programming language, SAP Data Dictionary, SAP design and coding techniques, and Business Objects and events.
A minimum of 8 years experience with SAP development technologies and tools including: BAPIs, BADIs, EEWB, User Exits, BDC, dialog programming, reports and ALV development, Screen Painter, Menu Painter, Interfaces, IDOC/ALE, RFC's, eCATT, CATT, Forms (SAP Scripts, SMART forms, Adobe Forms)
A minimum of 8 years experience with developing SAP Workflows.
A minimum of 4 years experience working with ECC 6.0 and SAP PI.
Must have experience in performance tuning of all SAP objects.
Must have ABAP proficiency within SAP SD, FI, CO, MM, PP, WM, and HR modules.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning skills.
Ability to work productively in a team environment.
Ability to interact professionally with staff, internal/external customers, and management.
Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
Ability to develop, test and troubleshoot system applications.
Must be able to work occasional weekends and occasionally travel to plant locations.
Prefer experience in SCM/APO.
Prefer experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
