Description
The SAP BASIS Administrator analyst is responsible for the installation, technical administration, tuning, and monitoring of the SAP Solution Manager application and supporting the functional teams. Since PepsiCo has all SAP Components, we expect that this person have experience in at least 2 of the SAP components. SAP Components: ECC 6.0, CRM 4.0/5.0, SCM 4.1/ICH 5.0, SRM 4.0, (XI, BI, EP 7.0) NetWeaver 2004S, CUA/GRC 5.3, CE 7.2.
This position is responsible for any other middleware integration such as archiving, imaging, faxing, and workflow applications.
The SAP Basis team is divided into 2 teams project support and production support however there is some overlap in duties depending on the needs of the project or production support.
Primary responsibility will be supporting and monitoring the production break fix landscape, monitoring the environments, performing troubleshooting analysis, and supporting production application support.
They will also be responsible for working with the project team on Environment Migration and supporting all development activities as needed.
All SAP Basis Administration Specialists will cross train on all the SAP platforms and closely associated applications (bolt-on applications).
Heavy interfacing with other IT Infrastructure teams such as server and database support.
Good communication skills, team player and must have hands on experience as an SAP Basis Administrator.

SAP Solution Manager Support
SAP Solution Manager Installation and Planning
SAP Solution Manager Software
SAP Solution Manager Support Packs, and Upgrades
SAP integration with other systems Knowledgeable on SAP, middleware integration, configuration, administration, and SAP add-on software such as archiving, faxing, imaging, and workflow Performance Monitoring.
Establish and maintaining Storage Management and Backup/Recovery Disaster Recovery Plan support Problem resolution during development, rollout and production support.
Utilizing Change Management to make changes.
Systems Administration Specialists will provide services directly to the project team for: Environment Migration Support.
Familiarity with transports and the SAP methodology for migrations Demonstrate proficiency in the SAP system and required bolt-on solutions.
Requirements:
Responsible for coordinating members of different teams to address and resolve any issues or problems. Ability to work collaboratively across project teams.
Ability to plan and organize development work & deliverables Able to travel to either Chicago or Plano; work weekends or evenings depending on the need.
SAP Basis experience required
Knowledge of CHARM and Work Centers in Solution Manager a plus
Broad technical and IT knowledge Collaboration
Skills/Partnering/Facilitation Skills
Able to work directly with developers and end users under stressful situations.
Ability to work in matrixed environment.
Ability to solve complex application problems through research and technical detective work.
Ability to learn new technologies and processes quickly

Able to work off hours when required to perform maintenance activities as required. Minimum of 6 years of experience in IT; Minimum of 4 years of SAP Basis experience BA in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent degree
