POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of Business Intelligence team implementing the Enterprise Data Warehousing, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating and supporting various Business Intelligence solutions in the SAP environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include: * Performing analysis and configuration in SAP BW 7.0 environment to facilitate various analytics solutions * Working directly with business analysts, end users and project teams to develop new Business Intelligence functionality from specifications * Converting complex requirements into an optimal design * Coordinating testing, and performing change management / training * Performing routine program modifications, performance tuning, problem solving, debugging, and unit testing * Providing production support and administration of Business Warehouse (BW) back-end operations as needed * Monitoring, communicating and troubleshooting issues with data integrity, data design, and functional and technical software issues * Preparing project-related documentation (object designs, business rules, technical specs, etc.) throughout various stages of the project * Adhering to BW best practices and standards * Harvesting and sharing knowledge with team members * Validating information generated within reports developed * Participating in user acceptance testing (including scenario development), and documenting test results E ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS * Minimum of 3 years of experience in SAP BW, including minimum 1 year in version 7.X * Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Business Administration (or equivalent) * BW Integration experience with one or more SAP modules, such as FI, SD, SRM, APO & CRM, etc. * Strong experience in BW data modeling, including EDW and DataMart methodology * Strong experience with ETL from SAP and non-SAP source systems * Experience in ABAP including ABAP Object Oriented and API's * Excellent communication skills - both oral and written * Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving and performance tuning skills * Strong experience in developing reports using BEx toolset - BEx Query Designer and Web Application Designer * Ability to work in a team environment, and also independently with minimal supervision
ADDITIONAL ASSETS * Experience using Business Objects reporting tools - Crystal Reports, Web Intelligence, and Xcelsius * Experience in NetWeaver portal integration * NetWeaver BW certification * Experience in LIS based extractors
