The SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) Expert is responsible for a full range of advanced level analyst activities to ensure the IT operational effectiveness and excellence of one or more business units. The SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) Expert will design and document IT workflow and make recommendations that will improve operational effectiveness. The SAP EWM Expert will track and analyze business unit trends and make IT recommendations that can benefit the unit. You will contribute with other analysts and the Project Manager and may lead one or more key components of various projects. In addition, you may be the sole point of contact between the business unit and ISSA for one or more project areas from the original project conception through the final implementation.
In an analysis and reporting capacity, the SAP EWM Expert will develop tactical and strategic IT products, services and/or programs to support the business unit's goals (financial, quality, production, customer service, operational efficiency, market share, etc.). You will partner with department and business unit personnel to identify advocate, and maximize opportunities to use information and technology to improve product, service and/or business processes for the business unit.
You will review, analyze, and create detailed documentation of current business systems and user needs, gathering and establishing workflow, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify advanced computer programs. You will create custom, specialized and advanced reporting tools for the business unit and analyze the business unit's activities and trends to compare analysis against the standards and industry best practices. You may provide input to identifying and recommending solutions that fit into Sony's standard architecture and may assist in providing evaluations and selections for vendor products and services. You will prepare advanced metric reports (financial, quality, production, customer service, operational efficiency, market share, etc.) to further analyze trends and recommend adjustments to address and/or capitalize on these trends.
With a focus on Quality Assurance and Testing, the SAP EWM Expert will define, develop and implement quality assurance practices and procedures, end user test plans and other QA assessments. You will ensure that all tests are conducted and documented according to the standards agreed upon by ISSA. You will advocate the appropriate level of quality by the resolution of critical defects; and work with the project manager to ensure the software development process has an appropriate level of testing. You may mentor, review the work of, or assist other ISSA analysts as needed. * BA degree is required or equivalent, degree in business or IS is preferred * At least 5 years of experience in SAP and 2 years of hands on configuration experience in SAP EWM * Must have 1 full project life cycle implementation in EWM * Must be able to mentor, lead, design, and configure solutions to meet the most complex business requirements in the core SAP R/3 (SD & MM) with a concentration on EWM solution * Seasoned skills in gathering clear business requirements * Advanced skills in developing, documenting and maintaining operational policies and procedures, including designing and documenting detailed process flows; and developing operational performance and quality metric standards and reports * Experience in training and providing technical skill development for others * Experience developing and maintaining customized or advanced analyses and reporting tools * Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook * Complete knowledge of MS Project; knowledge of e-mail/scheduling software applications * Experience with software applications and web-based systems * Superior communication and presentation skills * Interpersonal skills: a keen customer focus and highly relationship oriented, a champion for change, ability to persuade and influence others * Problem solving and decision making
