SCA Drafter/CAD Operator II
The selected applicant for this position will prepare complex mechanical and electrical AutoCAD drawings and make updates to redlined drawings as required. Will provide drawing support for the engineering and fabrication of both mobile and fixed site communication systems including shelter/vehicle intergration, transit cases, and equipment racks. Drafting is conducted in accordance with ASME Y14.100-2004 standards. Additional responsibilities will include 3D modeling with SolidWorks to support graphical representations of communication system layouts.
This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate themselves to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

Requirements:High school diploma and at least 5 years of drafting experience. Drafting certificate from a technical school. Knowledge of ASME Y14.100-2004 drafting standards. Proficiency with AutoCAD. Proficiency with SolidWorks 3D modeling. Mechanical aptitude. Ability to visualize in 3D. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Good communication skills. Ability to work independently. Eligibility for DoD security clearance. Flexibility to work on several different projects concurrently. Can-do attitude with a strong desire to ferences:Dimensioning and Tolerance per ASME Y14.5-1994. Experience with military communication systems. Experience with military standards. Active secret security clearance.
