SCA Electronics Technician Maintenance II - Combined Arms Collective Training Facility (CACTF) - for the WarFighter FOCUS (WFF) Contract at Ft. Drum, NY

CSC a globally, independent company, is seeking an SCA Electronics Technician Maintenance II, for the CACTF program, to provide support to the WFF contract at Ft. Drum, NY. This person applies comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence and in selecting tools and testing instruments. Receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher level technician, and work is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. May provide technical guidance to lower level technicians. Primarily responsible for training device maintenance and support on the various systems of medium to high fidelity training devices. This may include full motion systems, visual and display systems, and computer network technology. The position requires the technical ability to troubleshoot failures down to discreet component level by applying advanced knowledge in electronics and logical fault diagnostic abilities.
The Electronics Technician Maintenance II applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. This technician works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician.
Associate's Degree in Electronic Technology (or equivalent) from an accredited college or universityorrelated military trainingorthree years minimum work experience in a related discipline. Three years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in computer systems / network or training device maintenance. Two years experience with Microsoft office software operation and use. Must possess good written composition and verbal communications skills, ability to express facts and rationale. Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a security clearance if required.
