POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of this position is to perform various System Center Configuration Management (SCCM) administrative functions (imaging, patching, software distribution ). The successful candidate will work with several teams within the Corporate IT organization to coordinate the activities associated with the installation, deployment and upgrade or repairs to software and hardware as it relates to the desktop and server environments.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

• Administration of monthly security hot-fix and and update deployments and installation of service packs via SCCM.


• Development of lite-touch Windows 7 deployments.


• Create desktop OS images


• Participate in the development, testing, and deployment processes for software using SCCM installer technologies.


• Perform and maintain software metering.


• Package applications using Flexera AdminStudio.


• Create SCCM management reports as required to support operations and tasks.


• Report status, issues and timelines to project and management teams.


• Troubleshoot software distribution failures.

RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE

• May collect and assemble information for others to use in preparing budgets.


• May maintain accurate, complete and current  equipment maintenance files.


• May schedule individual user computer maintenance downtime.


• May gather information and lead meetings for the purposeof sharing technical knowledge.

THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION

• A Bachelor Degree in an Information Technology field. 


• Minimum 3 years work experience with SMS or SCCM administration including Microsoft patching and software deployments.


• Technical proficiency in SCCM 2007 and experience in managing medium to large environments.


• Technical experience organizing, sustaining, and optimizing: imaging, operating system deployment drivers and packaging for Windows XP and 7.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge of SCCM adminstration and Windows infrastructure (AD, WINS, IIS)


• Experience packaging for 64-bit Windows Operating System


• Excellent computer skills including understanding of networking, hardware, system administration, active directory, operating systems and desktop applications.


• Experience with SCCM Reporting and  SQL Reporting Services for SCCM


• Excellent debugging skills in the Windows infrastructure


• Knowledge of SCCM schema and views


• Experience with group policy


• Strong teamwork skills.


• Oral and written communication skills.


• Ability to prioritize work schedules.
