Location Cary, NC Job Type Regular - Full Time Job Description Primary Objective: Direct assigned manufacturing lines to achieve safety, quality, delivery and cost targets. Major Areas of Accountability: 1. Reviews production schedules and adjusts line capacity to meet customer demand for assigned line, as well as, cooperating with other supervisors for plant wide needs. Directs or performs plant operation and production equipment maintenance, as necessary to ensure all equipment is functional to facilitate timely production operations. Builds product when necessary to support customer needs. 2. Write Manufacturing Instructions and provide operator training to ensure consistent, high quality product assembly. Audits assembly methods to ensure good soldering techniques and enforce adherence to standards such as manufacturing instructions, safety and ergonomics. Responsible for safety hazard prevention and performs accident investigations. Ensures that workstation layout and process design allows for proper ergonomic positioning and motion. 3. Performs component level analysis on problematic products to identify root cause failure mode. Knows and understands test procedures and is able to use alternate procedures to test products. Troubleshoots common issues with test equipment as needed. Implements a corrective action to eliminate to failure mode. 4. Drives improvement and measures performance in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, and cost to meet set targets. Develop, qualify, and implement equipment and processes to support manufacturing strategies for new and existing products and subassemblies. 5. Provide manufacturing support for vendors who use MTS processes or equipment to ensure consistent, high quality supply of subcontracted parts. 6. Work with engineering to ensure product manufacturability by participating in new product teams and design reviews and support effective transfer into production. Supports lead engineers in release of products to production and troubleshooting any product manufacturing issues. 7. Knows and applies the division’s quality policy and procedures of ISO 9001 as it relates to area of responsibility and the organization. Follows all standard operating procedures as prescribed and notifies appropriate personnel of any non-conformance. Job Requirements 4 year technical degree with minimum of 3 years of electromechanical manufacturing experience, preferred. OR 2 year technical education with 6 years of electromechanical manufacturing experience. Computer skills: word processor and spreadsheet, Autocad or equivalent design tool, IT skill with some programming Ability to build and troubleshoot products to component level and test equipment from drawings and sketches. Ability to train personnel in various manufacturing or troubleshooting techniques.
