Summary

The IT Security Manager is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the organization's assets, information, data and IT services. The IT Security Manager is involved in an organizational approach to Security Management which that is wider in scope than just what an IT service provider delivers, it includes handling of paper, building access, phone calls etc., for the entire organization. The IT Security Manager provides operational support for Security Management functions and processes. Support the administration of security tools. The IT Security Manager is responsible for maintaining the security escalation process and contact lists. The IT Manager is responsible for maintaining security logs. The IT Security Manager collects and summarizes security events and data. The IT Security Manager assembles and produces security reports, including audit requirements.

Minimum Qualification
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience
* High school diploma or equivalent plus 15 years experience, or bachelors degree plus 6 years experience, in Federal Mandates and Information Security standards including user access controls, auditing, common operating systems and domain structures such as AD (Active Directory) for desktop system and associated vulnerabilities; duty as a Information Systems Security Officer, (ISSO) and and in Information Assurance (IA).
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in Problem Management.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in leading any of the following: Availability, Capacity, Performance, Continuity, and Security Management activities and processes
* Strong knowledge of architecture and systems administration processes for UNIX, Linux and Microsoft Systems
* Experienced in documenting and revising processes and procedures
* Clear, authoritative and professional communication skills
* Ability to prioritize work and deliver to deadlines
* Excellent presentation and communication skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-resolution skills.
* Capability to develop and maintain an effective network of relationships with people inside and outside the development group.
* Expert knowledge of network systems/infrastructure management and process methodologies and practices.
* Experience preparing for and chairing meetings

* Knowledge of Version 1 and Remedy software.
* A technical background in information technology security management.
* CompTIA Security certification
* CISSP certification
