Senior ABAP Programmer (Sports Media/Graphics/Web/IT)Senior level ABAP programming opportunity to support all functional areas of our rapidly growing business which runs SAP's Apparel and Footwear Solution. Candidate will craft enterprise-capable applications and develop solutions quickly by possessing a deep understanding of the business process and using all of our toolsets to deliver solutions to the business. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop new and maintain existing ABAP Code including user-exits, reports, functions, methods, data dictionary objects, reports, and SAPSCRIPT/SmartForms. Function as a senior and/or lead SAP developer on short-duration enhancement projects and long-term implementation projects, sometimes simultaneously. Work with architects, functional owners and other IT shared services to design and develop systems that help meet new demands of a rapidly growing business Troubleshoot and resolve production issues as needed by evaluating both SAP and custom code. Raise issues as required with SAP support and make appropriate changes to our developed programs. Fulfill role of mentor with junior developers and support staff Address business opportunities through the best combination of SAP applications and other software production and development techniques Help project team with analyzing system development opportunities by gathering data, reviewing company operations, evaluating alternative methods and preparing time estimates according to project guidelines Accurately estimate development time and coordinate/develop work and project plans Work with project leader to keep projects on schedule and recommend needed action to meet deadlines Demonstrate performance to maintain or surpass skill level requirements reflected in the role/skill matrix for this position Other duties as assigned. BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business or related field, or the equivalent work experience. 6+ years of information technology experience; at least 4 years within the SAP application space. Proficiency in applying ABAP knowledge for the programming, testing, and debugging of SAP modules. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong analytical skills; ability to perform complex systems analysis and draw conclusions by relating information from different sources, including root-cause analysis and issue resolution. Superior verbal, written and presentation skills required. Work experience reflects a progression of increasing responsibility in both technical and leadership roles. Demonstrated experience with mentoring others on methods and best-practices within SAP applications. In depth knowledge of applications development, including systems analysis and design techniques, problem determination, project control, contract/vendor administration and structured system development methodologies. Familiar with Waterfall and Agile application development methodologies. Ability to communicate highly technical information in an understandable manner to non-technical audiences through writing and presentations. Experience with ERP modules: SD, MM, FI, and HR SAP AFS experience is a plus LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general financial statements, business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, etc and tailor the message appropriately based on the target audience.
