Position Description Role: The analytics data analyst will be responsible for understanding complex business processes, interacting with internal customers, defining business Requirements for systems that contain a web analytics tool or will integrate with a web analytics tool. He/she will identify areas in which the client can improve their data collection, marketing and advertising solutions through campaign tracking and will define and develop Dashboard reports (key performance indicator reports) that will enable the business to monitor and address critical components He/she will improve Venere website, marketing and finance activity by defining or optimizing online marketing solutions, increasing website traffic, improving visitor conversion rates and increasing on-line revenue
Responsibilities: Meet with key stakeholders to define KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) that lead to consumer retention and consumer purchases Create dashboards based on KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) Work with technical and business teams to implement campaigning tracking for commerce websites Identify and implement web analytic systems such as Omniture, WebTrends or Google Analytics that meet the clients business and technical requirements Accurately understand and evaluate metrics: Site Conversion, Units per transaction, Cart Abandonment, Funnel Conversions, click throughs, Product Abandonment, Cart Conversion Conduct ad-hoc traffic analysis multiple key area of the site Define business requirements, business objectives, key data metrics, business process Provide training and reference documentation (White Papers, Visual Diagrams, PowerPoint) Conduct User Acceptance testing session of web analytics tools Establish a methodologies for Web Analytics projects Core Competencies Bachelors degree in technology, marketing or business management 3 + years experience working with standard web analytics tools including Omniture, Google Analytics Solid knowledge in Web Analytics tools session/event data capture and storage logic Good foundation in SQL and RDBMS technology, particularly Business Intelligence and Analytics solutions Experience implementing and measuring the success of online communication channels including SEM / PPC and SEO campaigns and strategies Experience with scorecarding/dashboarding Understanding of database structure Experience working with large raw datasets Experience with business analysis methodologies Ability to balance high quality standards with schedule pressures Highly articulate in both oral and written communications, including presentations Ability to logically translate and disseminate analytical insights to non-analytical stakeholders Work with key internal customers to identify and deliver reporting & analytics requirements Ensure that reports produced for the business are relevant, timely and accurate Support the development of the Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing functions within the wider Expedia organization Work closely with local and global team to maximise the value of data across the organization and improve efficiencies Good oral and written communication skills Good interpersonal skills and attention to detail Required Technical Skills Business Objects TSQL (Sybase and Microsoft SQL Server) Omniture / Google Analytics
