Provide advanced level in a senior/lead IT role for analytical, technical design, with programming skills necessary to define, develop and implement new application systems or enhancements to existing JDE World software system. Readily share knowledge and expertise with other staff members. In this position you will perform system-maintenance, administration, end user set-up, security, and upgrades. This support will include problem resolution, new enhancement/process changes, and training and upgrade implementations. Software support includes these JDE applications: General Ledger, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Order entry, Purchasing & Receiving, costing and the "Dream Writer" Report Writer, and EDI. Basic cross training with all other key staff in the IT will enable this team member to effectively support the JDE user community and provide operational support.

Accountabilities:

* Works on special business projects as necessary in a senior or IT Lead role.
* Works with IT Manager(s) to determine staff requirements and support of projects.
* This position will include project planning, creating specifications, working as a mentor to the IT Team, as well as delegating responsibilities to the IT Team to insure the business goals and project dates are achieved.
* Maintain the current information systems (JD Edwards and others) in business working order and repair as necessary. Assist IT Team and users with problems and questions on a daily basis to ensure the proper working order of systems.
* Provide and/or arrange training for self, IT Team, new users, or refresher training for existing users.
* Assure that information systems are meeting the current business requirements by continually staying abreast of the Company's business needs.
* Participates in the definition, design, development and implementation of large or technically complex application systems or enhancements.
* Conduct business analysis on new issues or - problems that are information systems dependent and adjust the applications to resolve the issues.
* Develops and documents functional specifications which define the objectives, business and information flows and requirements of new applications or enhancements to existing systems.
* Where appropriate, find, review and decide upon and implement new applications that are functionally and financially suitable and train IT Team and users in its use.
* Translates functional requirements into detailed specifications including the definition of program modules, data base structures, record layouts and recovery considerations.
* Code, compile, test, debug and document application programs/systems.
* Develop and execute testing, implementation and training plans, procedures and schedules.
* Organize workload to ensure all tasks and assignments are completed accurately and on time.
* Provides off-hour support as required.

* Occasional travel may be required.
* EDI Mapping using Extol Integrator or other utilities to setup inbound/outbound transition sets
* Provide support to external customers of 3rd Party Vendors to support design, development, and unit testing of all EDI transaction sets
* This position requires current knowledge of supporting & maintaining EDI sets (810, 820, 832, 850, 855, 856, 860, 870, & 997)
* Develop and maintain EDI interfaces to process inbound/outbound transaction to JDE EDI module
* Current experience with JD Edwards World Software EDI
Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably including courses in computer science, business administration, mathematics, statistics or accounting)
* 5 years of JD Edwards World Development experience
* 3 years of EDI experience

Additional Qualifications:

* JD Edwards World Software, AS/400, RPG, CL, work management, SQL, ILE and appropriate tools such as SDA, PDM, DBU, Hawkeye, Extol EDI, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Professional (including Access)
* 4 years of applications design and programming experience
