The Senior Business Analyst (SBA) supports the conception, design, development, and roll-out of a variety of concurrent product development projects for his or her assigned department(s), working as a liaison to ensure a timely and quality implementation. The SBA is focused on developing and refining business requirements, developing functional specifications, confirming that products / solutions created meet the business requirements, and ensuring they perform well under a variety of demanding scenarios. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: * Responsible for ensuring the completeness and effectiveness of user stories submitted by Product Owner and stakeholders* Work with business stakeholders to understand, create, and refine key requirements (user stories)* Facilitate discussions between development teams, data teams, test teams, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders during the implementation of user stories* Define test conditions, working closely with QA Analysts to create User Acceptance Tests* Ultimately responsible for user story functional testing and sign-off* Support the Manager of Application Development in the creation and in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules* Research new product trends and business / technical processes, and participate in the new product development process* Coordinate internal and external meeting objectives and agendas and support the Manager of Application Development with project or business specific meeting strategies* Attend all project planning priority meetings and provide timely communications to Product Owner, other project stakeholders, and functional IT groups* Recommend improvements and assist in changes to best practices* Support and guide with Product Owner and stakeholders on project prioritiesExperience: * Minimum 5 years of business analysis experience with at least 2 of the years spent working in Financial Services* Deep experience with software use to develop process flow and use cases* Working familiarity with software quality assurance processes* A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience Strongly Desired: * Prior experience in Technical Project Management Skills and Abilities: * Understand basic Internet and client / server architectures* Understanding of consumer loan products and systems* Understanding and ability to manage through an enterprise-wide project / solution impact; issues and risks* Ability to manage across company teams to ensure collaboration in support of high quality solutions* Ability to analyze business and system processes to support solution development* Accurately prepares written business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective, professional, and engaging* Competent verbal and written communication and presentation skills* Fluent with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook* Medium skill level with MS Project and Visio* Comfortable in a fast-paced and cutting edge development environment
