Schneider Electric has an outstanding opportunity for a strategic-minded HR professional to assume the role of North America Total Rewards Senior Benefits Analyst at its North America headquarters in Palatine, IL.
Under the direction of the Benefits Manager, the Benefits Analyst is responsible for analytical support and administration of all Health, Welfare and Retirement Plans working in a North America Shared Services organization. This position also provides support to benefit programs and procedures to support benefit programs; evaluates and analyzes benefit data, and recommends benefit enhancements. This position analyzes and then designs project and process solutions for the Benefits administration for 27,000 employees in North America. Major areas of responsibility include executing Benefit related projects impacting teammates in North America. Qualified candidates should also have deep experience in HR Shared Services design and implementation.
. Ensure the data quality of all benefit plans are consistent with company benefit policies . Analyze benefit data to determine and recommend changes for benefit program leakage . Implement benefit process improvements to ensure programs run efficiently and effectively. . Ensure the accuracy of information to vendors. . Thoroughly review, update and expedite all Health and Retirement Compliance processes such as Plan Documents, SPDs, 5500s, SARs, etc. . Research new legislation and ensure Plans' compliance with regulatory requirements. . Assist and analyze group insurance budgets and all the financial monitoring of all Health and Retirement Plans including the FAS data collection. . Assist in the coordination of annual benefits enrollment and various benefit communication projects. . responsibility for all areas of benefit compliance including, but not limited to, ERISA, Plan Documents, SPDs, FMLA, HIPAA, COBRA, 5500s and SARs . Provide technical and analytical support to the Benefits Manager and locations for all areas of the benefit delivery system. . Assist employees with benefit related questions and/or issues. . Administer leave of absence requests, disability paperwork, medical, personal, disability and FMLA. . Assist Benefits Manager with off-cycle integration and acquisition due diligence as well as integration of company acquisitions . Assist with benefits eligibility, Plan audits, and monthly premium payments. . Familiar with a variety of benefit concepts, practices, and procedures. . Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. . Performs a variety of complicated tasks using Access and Excel. . Conduct standard and ad-hoc reporting by consolidating data from various areas including PeopleSoft, Excel files, Access, and survey data . Perform reporting and metrics analysis . Serve as primary contact for outsource third party benefits administrator and plan vendors as well as employees and retirees in the day to day administration of the Health and Welfare Plans. . Work with the Third Party administrators in resolving employee and retiree benefits issues. . Coordinate and audit transfer of data for eligibility to third party vendors including COBRA provider. . Audit employee premium deductions for Health and Welfare plans. . Financial monitoring of all Health and Welfare Plans including the FSA data collection. . Investigate discrepancies and provide information in non-routine situations in accordance with Company Plan guidelines. . Research new legislation and ensure Plans' compliance with regulatory requirements. . Assist in the coordination of annual benefits enrollment, testing of website and communication. . Provide technical and analytical support to the Benefits Manager for all areas of the Health and Welfare Plan delivery. . Ability to work independently as well as in Teams, propose solutions to problems, and multi-task. . Ability to exercise sound judgment, set priorities, organized, implement and administer effectively in all areas of accountability. . Required Qualifications: . Bachelor's degree in a Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration and CEBS certification strongly preferred with strong math and analytical skills . Minimum of 4 years benefits experience and a total of 3-7 years professional experience in benefits or related fields required . Working knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, Medicare, FSA, HAS, and DB/DC plans. . Advanced proficiency in Excel, Access, and other MS Office applications. . Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously to meet established deadlines. . Spanish proficiency preferred . Strong attention to detail and an ability to multi-task required. . Superior ability to develop rapport at all levels and work toward an identified goal in a fast-paced environment required. . Strong communication skills with a proven ability to work both independently and as a member of a team required. . Demonstrated ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions required. .
