Description:

* Day to day duties will include working with clients to build and architect Cognos 8 and other BI solutions

* Will be involved in the full life cycle from inception, requirements, design, development, and support

* Role will include acting as the main Cognos 8 BI Data Modeler, Architect, and advanced report authoring

Requirements:

* Excellent communication skills

* Leader in Metadata modeling for Cognos 8

* Expert in Cognos 8 Framework Manager

* The ability to gather requirements as well as work from existing functional specifications

* The comfort level to work directly in front of clients

* At least 5 years experience working with databases and SQL

* At least 5 years experience working with Cognos 8 (Framework Manager, Report Studio)

* Strong understanding of relational database design concepts

* Experience using various data modeling tools and techniques and implementing these in Cognos 8 Framework Manager

* Experience creating Data Warehouses and Data Marts




Would prefer the following:


* Cognos 8 Administration and Performance Tuning

* Cognos 7 experience

* Cognos Impromptu experience

* Other BI tool experience (Oracle, MS BI, Business Objects)

* ETL Tool experience


* Application Development experience
