Our client, a leading global financial services company, has approximately 200 million customer accounts and does business in more than 140 countries. They provide consumers, corporations, governments and institutions with financial products and services, including consumer banking and credit, corporate and investment banking, securities brokerage, transaction services, and wealth management.
JOB DESCRIPTION: The individual will be responsible for analyzing the requirements and developing detailed business specifications for the Fixed Income Hedge Fund business within the CCA organization. Individual will work as part of the IT team, partnering with business users in the development of trading and risk platform. Day to day this position reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs. Documents workflow and operational procedures to clarify program/project objectives. If needed, writes documentation to describe system/program development, logic, coding, and corrections in support of requirements. Requires a bachelor's degree in a financial or technical area and at least 7 years of experience in the financial arena. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. Typically reports to a systems manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have extensive experience in the role of business analyst, working in a financial services setting with exposure to the accounting and operations aspects of the business. Must be able to work with the end user to gain a complete understanding of the business needs - must be capable of translating those needs into detailed business specifications for the development team. Should understand the full project life cycle, with hands on experience developing detailed test plans, building test scripts and procedures, training end users, and rolling out new systems.
